Hey all,
We had a blast this past week and have had a lot of great pictures taken. We’re pretty lucky to have some of Atlanta’s best photographers take these shots. First, we played at Sweetwater Brewery for a brewery tour and we had about 150 people there. Daddyo Photography took some great photos of us. Link to gallery here. It was a great night, then on the weekend, we played a private party at Rev Coffee and we had another awesome photographer from MacAndCheesePhotography come out and shoot some photos. Link to gallery here. Next month, we have 3 great shows, be sure to come out because we have some new songs for you to hear! Some pics are below for you to see!

The North River Tavern - Sandy Springs, GA with Grand Prize Winners From Last Year and The First Stone - FREE SHOW - Friday, June 26th 2009
Posted on Apr.09, 2009.
Hey all! We just booked an AWESOME show with one of our favorite local groups called “Grand Prize Winners From Last Year” at The North River Tavern in Sandy Springs, GA. The North River Tavern has music three nights a week and a DJ on some. What we really like about the place is their awesome sound system and Wednesday night trivia though.
We previously played a show with Grand Prize Winners From Last Year at Vinyl in Atlanta opening up for Nicholas Megalis. That night, we also got the opportunity to play with Janie Chu and Sonen as well and it was an amazing turn out. We’re sure this night will be no different, so please come out for this FREE SHOW and see The First Stone with Grand Prize Winners From Last Year. (See pictures below or on the pictures page)
We’re always looking for new people to help promote shows, sell shirts, CDs, & more, so if you are interested in promoting for the band, please email us at: streetteam@thefirststone.com or visit our ReverbNation.com page or street team page and sign up for the Street Team. Be sure to let us know in which area you’d like to help promote.
In other news, the band just bought a great new item to add to our sound. We got a Fender Rhodes piano and it will ad a lot to our next album. Also, in other news, we added some bands to the line up for the Smith’s Olde Bar show on May 25th. The two bands are great. Check out their links below:

Video from the studio: Grumpy Onions Nate. (our guitar player)

We went back to the studio this weekend to finish up some parts. We had a great time with Nate and his intolerance with onions! Enjoy. We had a good laugh at his expense. We are looking for a new manager. One that can actually drive a remote controlled car. So, if you can steadily maneuver a remote controlled car, you will be a great candidate! Email us at: info@thefirststone.com. Later!

The First Stone is an eclectic culmination of working-class musicians based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Their sound is best described indie-folk-rock infused with funk. TFS is led by front man Brian Kelly on guitar and vocals. Brian has spent time in Chattanooga, TN., Athens, and Augusta, GA as a solo artist and with other full band projects (Drive South, Tony Kick). Dave “Danger” Baranik keeps the groove alive on bass while Aubrey Bailey balances it all out on percussion and drums. Dave has played with bands such as Swoon 19 and The Funktron Bomb. Aubrey’s musical past includes bands such as Bound and Great White Dolemite. Guitar player Nate Kieser hails from Peoria, IL and has performed all across the country. He brings unique guitar riffs and a killer sound to the band.
